The Japanese news said it would snow this afternoon but didn’t once it got up to 40 degrees. It snowed here on Camp Zama in Japan one or two days ago, but it didn’t stick. I looked out my kitchen window while making dinner and noticed it was snowing again, and this time it was staying on the ground!

So we got bundled up and went to check it out.
Here are lots of pictures from tonight.

March 3rd is Japanese Girl’s Day called hina-matsuri (Japanese doll festival.) It’s a celebration for Japanese girls, and Japanese Boy’s Day is May 5th in Japan. People display a set of hina dolls and props in the house, wishing girls’ healthy growth and happiness. Parents or grand parents of a newborn girl buy a set of gorgeous hina dolls unless they have special dolls, which are inherited from generation to generation.

Anyway, here are the pictures.

I didnt realize how many people checked this blog for new news.

I admit I have been lazy about updating it, but I will try my best to upload what I have not, and keep uploading new pics and writing about our lives. :3

Right now we (Khloe and I) are still in Florida for “Christmas”. We extended a little longer to see more family and friends and because plane tickets we cheaper on the 20th. XD

We leave the 20th of January, 2009 from Jacksonville Florida to California. From there, I get a ride to the Airforce Base and hop back home to Japan.

Ok, now to post some pictures of Christmas. :3

December 25th, 2008

For the Bon Odori festival in Summer ’08, I made Khloe a Yukata (summer Kimono)  to wear, but since she didn’t walk very well then, I bought her a Japanese Jimbei to wear. Here are some pictures of her wearing it at Gma’s house.

So, like I stated earlier, our household goods have been delayed to October.

But! They just got here. They are a couple hours away at Yokuska (naval base) and have to be searched by the Japanese government and we get a call on Tuesday to scheldule the delivery!

This means I can get started sewing again! I really want to make Halloween costumes this year.

;3

Oh..Khloe has her 1 year well-baby appointment tomorrow. Checkup and shots.. yay ^^;;;

That is all for now.

Wow..I have alot to write. I have been here in Japan since June 22nd. Alot has happened.

Where to start? We moved into our house..3 bed 2 bath, huge kitchen/living room. Tons of space, and even more storage.

We are still waiting on our household goods though. What we do have belongs to the Army. I am not complaining about the borrowed things, just about not having our own thing here. Our goods got packed up in May, we got here in June, and they won’t be here til October..>.> I blame Ft -blank-.

Khloe started walking here, talking more, and had her first birthday in Japan. She is so lucky. And I am even more lucky to have her for my daughter. :3

That’s it for now.. XP

We just kept it small and had a celebration at home. Nothing big, just family. We did have our family on the webcam during the whole cake eating and present opening though. My mom, gma, Jeff , Pop-pop and Ms. Rita were online watching.

Here is Khloe eating her Peanut Butter Pancakes. She got to try so many new foods that day.
